It isn’t over until Fat Boy sings … cruising the magical Whitsunday Islands aboard a Riviera 68 Sports Motor Yacht

GOLD COAST, QUEENSLAND: The owners of the latest 68 Sports Motor Yacht to be launched by Riviera Australia desired a name that was original, memorable, yet also playful … and they’ve certainly achieved that.

Fat Boy’ is what Jacky and his partner Rudi settled on, having been inspired by a quirky brand of homeware in their native Holland.

The crew of Fat Boy celebrate their departure from the Riviera factory on the Gold Coast, as they begin their adventure north to the Whitsundays

Of course, men of somewhat larger girth are also renowned for indulging in many of life’s pleasures, and this lavishly appointed, long-range expedition yacht will be no different as it cruises its home waters of Thailand in grand style.

But first awaits an exciting and adventurous Australian voyage of some 1500 nautical miles over a two-month period cruising from the Gold Coast to the magnificent Whitsundays and then returning south where Fat Boy will be readied for shipping to her home port. There’s a Thai captain on board to familiarise himself with the onboard systems, along with a professional Australian skipper.

Fat Boy has been built and equipped to be self-sufficient for long durations, so additional tankage has lifted the diesel capacity to 10,000 litres, affording a cruising range of well over 1000 nautical miles. Navigation, communication and safety systems are also very much state-of-the-art.

Jacky admits it’s a remarkable reversal for someone who thought his nautical days were over, once he’d retired.

“I’d owned a Four Winns speedboat and also a share of an old Grand Banks while living and working in Singapore, but once we moved to Phuket I thought that was it,” Jacky says. “A friend then suggested we charter a boat to explore the islands around Phuket.

“After 15 minutes I decided that if I was ever going to own another boat, it had to be in Thailand. The following weekend I walked into the Lee Marine dealership in Phuket and the rest is history.”

Jacky initially settled on a new Riviera 5400 Sport Yacht, which he and Rudi thoroughly enjoyed. Inevitably, though, their horizons expanded, and they began developing a short list of features they wanted in a larger yacht.

“One of them was a big tender, because in Thailand we’re completely reliant on them,” Jacky explains. “I also realised I was never going to drive the boat myself, so we felt we needed a little more privacy because there would be crew around us.

“We also wanted an extra cabin because it’s always nice to have a little more space than you normally need. The rest was a bonus, as we discovered when we first went out on a 68.”

Already there is talk of more bluewater voyages for Fat Boy later in the year, possibly to Myanmar in Burma then onwards to Turkey asa Mediterranean base. It’s turning into something very special that their friends and family can also enjoy.

“People have said to me, ‘if you’re going to be on the sea, you want to be in a Riviera’,” Jacky concludes. “I’m very, very happy with how everything has turned out.”

Lee Marine Thailand

Accompanying Jacky and Rudi throughout the purchasing and commissioning process has been Martin Holmes, General Manager of Lee Marine Thailand. The dealership is celebrating 21 years as a Riviera representative, making it one of the longest-standing dealerships in the world.

Martin was a former Sunsail captain who arrived in Phuket from Europe and partnered with Josh Lee, a cruising sailor from the Gold Coast. There were no brokerages at that time as the Thai marine industry was in its infancy.

“Soon after that, we had an Australian expat who wanted us to find a motoryacht which was suitable for Asia. Josh travelled to Sydney International Boat Show and found a Riviera 39 Platinum,” Martin recalls.

“It was strongly built, had good fuel range, lots of refrigeration and offered ease of maintenance. He bought the vessel on behalf of the owner and shipped it back to Phuket, which is how we got to know Riviera.”

The following year, Lee Marine sold two new Riviera 48s, which were the flagship of the line at the time.

“In our experience, after 21 years, they’re still the highest quality motor yacht you can buy, and we always get great support from the factory,” Martin adds. “And in return, we said from the start, ‘once we put the Riviera sticker on the window, we’ll never take it off’.”

Lee Marine has introduced many first-time enthusiasts to boating in their region and engendered incredible customer loyalty. On the brokerage side in Phuket, there’s nothing like a pre-loved Riviera – boats sell almost immediately, regardless of age.

“We call Phuket the Monaco of Asia because lots of people from major centres around Asia keep boats there,” Martin says. “We have fantastic cruising waters with hundreds of islands, and people can go boating 12 months of the year. The quality of Riviera motoryachts speaks for itself in this region.”

Riviera announces innovative addition to its world-leading SUV Collection

Gold Coast Australia: Australia’s largest luxury motor yacht manufacturer Riviera has proudly announced an advanced, mid-sized addition to its exclusive SUV Collection, designated the 505, which will make her international debut at the 2020 Miami Yacht Show (13-17 February).

The accomplished Riviera design team, working in partnership with company owner Rodney Longhurst and CEO Wes Moxey, was given free reign to unleash its creativity with a hull that’s brand new from the keel up, resulting in a multi-functional, genre-bridging cruising yacht embodying the ultimate in refined luxury.

The designers cleverly integrated a number of the distinctive “big-boat” attributes that set Riviera motor yachts apart on the world stage, while staying faithful to the SUV pedigree that perfectly blends a seaworthy, sports-friendly flybridge ethos with the entertainment amenities inherent to a sport yacht.

An outstanding feature is the 505’s raised mezzanine seating area that draws innovation and design from the recently announced 64 Sports Motor Yacht, which is also set for a 2020 premiere. It steers the SUV concept into inspiring new waters.

The covered entertainment area gains extra privacy and protection from the elements, along with the comfort and convenience of built-in furniture, to enable sociable and enjoyable, year-round boating.

“Boating enthusiasts are really going to love the new 505 SUV,” Rodney Longhurst says. “She perfectly complements our growing SUV range and, coupled with IPS performance, economy, and ease of use, offers so much for families looking to put fun and freedom back into their weekends.”

Grace and space

Drawing on almost four decades of blue water heritage and the launching of over 5,500 motor yachts, the Riviera 505’s hull is classically appealing with a gently sweeping sheerline and prominent topside windows, balanced harmoniously by a raked coach-house with generous glass surrounds.

For a cleaner, more contemporary look, the bowsprit is seamlessly incorporated into the hull design that boasts generous flare forward. The bowsprit will house a 35kg stainless-steel Ultra Anchor and 50 metres of 10mm chain, as standard.

Further innovation is found in the new foredeck entertainment zone, with a walkway running laterally to avoid having to step over the double sunpad cushions when transitioning from port to starboard, cleaning the windscreen or attaching window covers.

Generously wide sidedecks with raised bulwarks safely connect the foredeck with the cockpit, while dual transom doors provide equally unfettered access to the large hydraulic boarding platform, enhancing the outdoor living space. Reminiscent of Sport Yacht styling, the platform sides extend forward along the aft quarters to protect the topsides.

Total cockpit area equates to almost 10 square metres, which is ample for fishing, all manner of watersports and entertaining. It accommodates a large barbecue/wetbar centre to port and 130-litre fridge/freezer compartment to starboard, flanking the steps leading to the magnificent mezzanine.

Here, there are two supremely comfortable lounges either side – the starboard seat will also fold out to become a day bed. While the hardtop extends fully over the mezzanine, twin sliding sun hatches will allow filtered light and air to flow from above. It is a cool and calm place to read, relax and enjoy a morning coffee or afternoon refreshment.

Linking the mezzanine with the saloon are a tinted, tempered glass door and awning window, both set in a highly polished stainless-steel frame. A U-shaped galley resides immediately to port, where it can efficiently serve meals to the mezzanine and forward dinette. The designers have specified solid-surface benchtops with electric cooktop, microwave convection oven, dual drawer fridge/freezer, stainless steel sink, plus storage cabinets and drawers above and below the bench.

They’ve devoted space immediately adjacent to the galley to an L-shaped lounge that extends forward to the starboard-side helm station featuring twin pedestal seats. A large sliding sunroof is incorporated above the helm and L-shaped lounge to port that will be popular with guests when underway.

As masters of space utilisation, the Riviera designers have also excelled themselves in the accommodation department with a full-beam master suite as the centrepiece of a spacious three-stateroom/two-bathroom layout.

Bathed in natural light from large hull windows, the cabin offers a queen-sized island berth, chaise lounge to starboard, drawer bureau to port, en-suite access and personal touches such as a full-length mirror. Guests are offered a twin bunk cabin to starboard, and a plush VIP stateroom forward with en-suite access to the luxury day head.

Riviera has launched more than 120 SUV motor yachts which are renowned for their class-leading power-to-weight ratios, exceptional fuel efficiency and exhilarating bluewater performance and handling, and the 505 will certainly share these qualities. Standard power is twin six-cylinder Volvo Penta D8-IPS 800 turbo diesels developing 600hp (441kw) apiece, mated to joystick controls (helm and cockpit) and twin 16-inch Volvo Penta Glass Bridge screens.

At the purchaser’s discretion, the powerplants may be upgraded to twin 725hp (533kW) D11-IPS 950s.

“The 505 SUV benefits from our latest research and development processes,” Mr Longhurst concludes. “Whether it’s fishing, diving, paddle-boarding, or simply entertaining with family and friends in the comfort of the mezzanine, she offers the best of all worlds and will be in a class of her own when unveiled at Miami early next year.”

New Pershing 140: the biggest thrill in Pershing’s history

The brand’s new flagship marks its entry into a new design and manufacturing era.

Craftsmanship and expertise, generated over more than 30 years of spearheading experience, combine with an inborn thrust towards innovative design, technology and aesthetics, officially marking the brand’s entry into the superyacht sector: it is the launch of Pershing 140, the brand’s new flagship and the first Pershing to be manufactured in aluminium.

A result of the collaboration between architect Fulvio De Simoni, the Ferretti Group Product Strategy Committee (led by engineer Piero Ferrari), and the Group’s Engineering Department, the new 140-foot yacht is the first Pershing manufactured at the Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard in Ancona. Developed into 3 spacious decks, the new flagship emanates prowess on water, showcasing the “thrill” that only Pershing can offer.

The project’s philosophy is based on the will to maintain Pershing’s unequalled performance, albeit with different class weights and dimensions: those of a superyacht. The hull platform was specifically designed for high performance, featuring excellent hydrodynamic capabilities at high speeds and the propulsion of 4 MTU 16V2000 M96L engines, each of 2,600 HP, thus achieving the target of taking the first 43.30-metre LOA Pershing superyacht to a top speed of 38 knots.

But Pershing 140 is not only the brand’s first superyacht to boast outstanding performance; it is also the first to feature a raised cockpit directly connected to the sun deck; the first to have an owner-dedicated area on the main deck and the first to maximise the enjoyability of all the decks and outdoor areas. This achievement was made possible by joining them all into a beach club area, which becomes expandable thanks to three fold-out sides.

Stylistically, the new flagship stands out for its sleek lines, emblematic of the brand’s sporty and competitive character. This feature is further enhanced by the on-demand application of a steel grid on the bow. Moreover, it combines design innovations with some of the brand’s most iconic details, such as the two lateral wings, that are integrated into its superstructure and then connected at the start of the walkways to the gunwale. The prow, which is instead decidedly contemporary in design, contributes to enhance the model’s aerodynamics. The whole area of the bow moorings is concealed, operated with an automatic up/down mechanism to maintain the streamlined design aesthetic.

Turning now to the interior, Pershing 140 owners can design their superyacht assisted by the designers of the Studio Fulvio De Simoni Firm and by the Project Architects of the Superyacht Yard of Ferretti Group. The entire interior design is tailored to mirror the owner’s style, by making additions to or modifying the layout options offered by the shipyard.

The new Pershing 140 features an original layout of the aft area, configured as a raised cockpit that becomes a mezzanine level: this creates a large waterside space that rises from the water up to the sun deck and joins together the entire aft section. This revolutionary design produces a vast waterside beach club, entirely accessible and furnishable with stools, chairs and freestanding pieces. The garage can accommodate both a Williams 565 tender and a jet ski. Launching and hauling operations are carried out by opening the two side hatches on the port side.

Pershing_140New_Main Deck-0002_39955

Around the cockpit, the mezzanine assures greater privacy: a first sunbathing area protects the second cockpit lounge against intrusive looks. The latter is furnished with a table seating 10 people that can be reached by walking down a few steps towards the bow, and it is protected on the sides by large glass panels installed on the topsides. Designed to guarantee utmost comfort, this spatial solution enables the owner to enjoy an area that possesses all the benefits of sitting in an outdoors but private place, and facilitates the passage of guests, who can easily walk across outdoor areas or walk on the main deck and enter the saloon after passing through the lounge.

After walking through the glass door into the cockpit, you access an open space flooded with natural light and organised into two areas: first the living area, followed by the dining area. The central area of the main deck leads to the crew quarters on one side and to the owner’s suite on the other side.
On the left-hand side, a passageway ushers into the cockpit or into the day toilet. This area also hosts the master cabin. Still on the left-hand side, a door placed on the external walkway opens onto the stairs leading down to the area below decks, which accommodates the kitchen and the crew quarters.

Pershing_140New_Main Deck-0001_39954

On the opposite side, walking towards the bow, you first come to a hallway where stairs lead down to the guest suites. Proceeding further, you enter the owner’s quarters: a grand full beam owner’s private suite, that the owner can modify and decorate at will. Yard-fitted with a double bed, a walk-in closet on the left-hand side and a parlour on the right, it enjoys a magnificent view. The large bathroom, fitted with a shower separated from the bathtub, as well as the toilet and bidet on the two topsides, is located at the head of the bow. On the first unit, the owner has decided to install an entertainment room, eliminating the bed to make room for sofas and seats, tables and a big TV screen.

The space below decks accommodates four comfortable guest suites, of which 2 have double beds and 2 have twin beds, all with their own closet and en suite bathroom.
Maximum comfort is also given to the crew area: after walking through a lobby, the staff can access a large kitchen on the left, separated from the dinette by a door on the right and, proceeding towards the bow, there are three bunk-bed bedrooms, all with a private bathroom. From the lobby, the crew can also have direct access to the engine room and to the garage.

Pershing_140New_Lower Deck-0000_39964

The upper deck of the Pershing 140 is perfectly in line with the overall privacy assured to the central part, which is protected by an aluminium hard-top. Conceived as a spacious panoramic terrace, it is entirely furnishable with freestanding pieces, and it can be accessed by walking up from the mezzanine deck or from the raised cockpit. The latter is connected to the second control station, in case of wanting to steer the flagship from the outside. Perfect for entertaining, the upper deck also hosts a bar and grill area, a total-relaxation area with a sun pad and, exclusively on the first unit, a projector and screen (both removable) and fixed loudspeakers.
The ample forward outdoor spaces, only accessible through the lateral walkways, offer an area with a large sun pad just before a full-fledged concealed lounge equipped with a Jacuzzi, an inset dinette with two seats, a table and a sunbathing area. This area is only revealed when the yacht is anchored or moored while, during navigation, it is covered by a sliding platform, thus contributing to the streamlined sleekness of the external lines. The arrangement of this private area, as well as many others, can be completely tailored to the owner’s tastes.

The hull number one of Pershing 140 installs four MTU 16 V 2000 M96L engines, each with 2,600 HP. The hydro-jet propulsion assures excellent performance levels, both at cruising and maximum speed, which can achieve 35 knots and 38 knots respectively.
Consistent with the DNA of the Pershing range, the domotics and electronic systems are all state-of-the-art. And, in line with Ferretti Group’s tradition of making high performance its core value, while also ensuring maximum wellbeing and relaxation, the new 140-footer is equipped with 3 Seakeeper 35 to assure top comfort also at anchor, after experiencing a day marked by the “thrill” that only a Pershing can give.

Riviera 545 SUV Anchored 01 Crop

Riviera to premiere the new 545 SUV and three Platinum Edition Sport Yachts at Sydney International Boat Show

Riviera will premiere four world-class models at the 2019 Sydney International Boat Show [1-5 August] as part of an exceptional nine-boat display that heralds a new level of refinement for Australia’s premium luxury motor yacht builder.

In the spotlight will be the new Riviera 545 SUV, boasting a full-beam master suite that offers unparalleled space and comfort. A grand tourer in every shimmering sense, this yacht shares the brilliant bluewater hull, expansive open cockpit and accommodation plan of Riviera’s newly launched 54 Enclosed Flybridge in concert with a free-flowing, easy-living saloon that’s tailor-made for entertaining.

The iconic ‘Platinum’ badge is now the symbol of distinction for three of Riviera’s most stylish models – the 6000, 5400 and 4800 Series II Sport Yachts. Platinum accents, fashionable interior updates, and premium state-of-the-art features have captivated boating enthusiasts since their May premiere.

The deluxe hue is synonymous with luxury as it melds stylishly with the gleaming white gel coat externally, along with the gloss walnut cabinetry and lighter countertops and headliner internally, creating a classic and timeless appeal. The refinements even extend to the addition of new Recaro sports helm seats with diamond-quilted Alcantara inserts, akin to the world’s finest automobiles.

Joining these four premiere models at SIBS will be the remarkable 68 Sports Motor Yacht, 445 SUV, 43 Open Flybridge and 395 SUV and 39 Sports Motor Yacht. Representing the pinnacle of motor yachts manufactured in this country, all have commanded worldwide attention.

“Boating enthusiasts come from all over Australia, and many parts of the world, to witness our Sydney International Boat Show display and I believe they will be more impressed than ever this year,” Riviera Australia owner Rodney Longhurst says.

“The display will comprehensively showcase the constant optimisation of our model development, while also revealing our latest thinking and style.

“I would say the current range of yachts is the most refined that Riviera has ever created.  Our 600-strong team strives every day to ensure that Riviera yachts are built as exceptionally as they look.”

Riviera 545 SUV Anchored 01 Crop

Best of all worlds – Riviera 545 SUV – Premiere

The 545 SUV replaces Riviera’s 525 SUV as a versatile yacht combining indoor/outdoor lifestyle features at a size that’s just right for cruising couples and young families, with Volvo Penta IPS 800 (625hp) and 950 (725hp) power options providing class-leading performance and ease of handling.

Pride of place goes to the full-beam master suite boasting an exceptional amount of space and storage, king-sized walk-around bed, L-shaped lounge to starboard, bureau and large hanging wardrobe to port, plus a generous en-suite bathroom equipped with designer fittings. Being amidships, the suite enjoys optimum stability and quietness, while topside windows to both port and starboard afford unimpeded water views.

Guests or family members are pampered with an elegantly appointed forward VIP stateroom, a starboard twin cabin, plus a day head with glass shower recess and stylish vanity. Storage abounds, and there are excellent headroom, light, and ventilation throughout.

The cockpit is well configured for fishing and watersports, along with outdoor entertaining. It offers fixed transom seating as well as a three-seater mezzanine lounge to port. A double barbecue unit resides to starboard on the mezzanine, adjacent to the saloon entry for easy access back-and-forth to the aft-placed galley and cocktail cabinet.

U-shaped and highly functional, the aft galley is a gourmet chef’s delight with a solid surface bench top, electric cooktop, convection microwave oven and an optional drawer dishwasher within handy reach of the stainless-steel sink.

The 545 SUV’s rear bulkhead opens to the cockpit via an awning window comprising tinted, tempered glass framed in polished stainless steel. Sliding windows on both sides of the saloon and two large overhead sunroofs ensure fresh air and natural light invigorate the space.

There’s an equally stunning view for the driver and passenger through the large windscreen. Riviera’s designers have placed the wheel almost on the centreline for superb vision, separating the helm’s twin pedestal seats to allow easy access.

Guests can also immerse themselves in the driving experience from the L-shaped lounge to port, just aft of the helm. It has a hi-lo dining table, while a three-seater lounge resides to starboard. The latter has a removable centre seat that becomes an ottoman for additional dining seating. A fold-out table then extends the dinner party if needed.

If its dining manners are impeccable, Rodney Longhurst says “wait until you experience the 545 SUV’s driving manners!”

“The 545 SUV was designed to deliver a soft, dry and efficient ride, bolstered by the legendary structural strength that Riviera is renowned for,” he adds. “The hull performs wonderfully in the enclosed flybridge format, so the SUV’s low centre of gravity makes it exceptionally well settled and safe in a seaway.

“The underwater hull form is perfectly matched to the twin D11 turbo diesel engines and IPS drives, with excellent fuel economy and impressively quiet operation, not to mention easy joystick docking.”

Engine technicians need never enter the yacht’s interior as engine room access is provided through a strut-assisted hatch just aft of the saloon door. Nor do water-toys have to be stored below, as there are multiple underfloor storage options.

A style that is distinctly Riviera – Platinum Edition Sport Yacht Collection

Hardtops, targa arches and wet-bars presented in Riviera Platinum, along with a silver/grey upholstered sunbed on the foredeck, are the first hint of a dramatic aesthetic statement for the Sport Yacht Platinum Edition.

Next, are the air vents and boot tops finished in stylish black, while finest-quality Sunbrella fabrics, high-gloss walnut timber cabinetry and trim, pure wool carpet in the staterooms, Corian flooring for the bathrooms, and plush soft-touch lounge furnishings complete a story of unbridled luxury and class.

Riviera 4800 Sport Yacht Series II Platinum Edition Anchored 01

4800 Sport Yacht Series II Platinum Edition – Sydney Premiere

The 4800 SY has been designated a Series II as the model enhancements are extensive. From stem to stern, it is an architectural masterpiece sporting two magnificent staterooms and two designer bathrooms. The 4800 attracts sports-express owners moving up, to former flybridge devotees coming down to a single level.

In the IPS800 and IPS15 pod combination, the 4800 has found its perfect performance partner. These are state-of-the-art technologies in every respect, so quiet and sophisticated in their power delivery.

Upon arrival at an anchorage, owners will immediately appreciate the new extended swim platform with flowing curves to the outboard quarters. A 2.7-metre RIB can soon be launched from the internal garage. Further upgrades include a cockpit wet bar including benchtop, refrigerator, icemaker, sink with folding tap and double electric BBQ, serviced by an extraction fan and fold-down lid.

Riviera 4800 Sport Yacht Series II Platinum Edition Saloon 01

More rewards are in store down below as the optional premier stateroom, forward, gains additional cabin floor space, along with a larger starboard hanging locker, three-drawer chest and 32-inch television.

The family-friendly midships-cabin has three single beds, two of which run athwartships and can transform into a double by virtue of an electric sliding track. There’s a blanket box, storage under the stairwell and generous hanging space.

Riviera 5400 Sport Yacht Platinum Edition Anchored 02

5400 Sport Yacht Platinum Edition – Sydney Premiere

The 5400 Sport Yacht raised the bar when launched as an exciting single-level entertainer with an intelligent and progressive design.

The yacht is virtually a turn-key luxury sports package with everything needed for on-water relaxation, starting with aft-facing seating under the rear awning that is the al fresco lunch spot and socialising hub. The 5400 gains the Platinum-finish wet-bar to port in the cockpit, including benchtop, refrigerator, icemaker, sink and two-plate electric barbecue.

The galley features new waterfall-style Corian benchtops with squared edges, complemented by twin bar stools to form a casual servery. Back-to-back lounges fill the area to port, leading forward to the central helm station.

The skipper will feel more like a pilot in this commanding space, with its centreline helm seat and a dashboard rendered in Platinum grey Alcantara. Performance is equally impressive as Volvo IPS 950 (725hp) diesels spirit the 5400 with impressive acceleration and top speed.

Owners receive a majestic full-beam stateroom, abounding with exceptional headroom and airiness surrounding a king-size bed and en-suite bathroom. The VIP stateroom fills the forepeak, while there is a choice between a lower lounge or twin bunk cabin.

The 6000 Sport Yacht, meanwhile, is a genuine three-cabin vessel, albeit with a choice of full-beam master stateroom configurations that range from vast (Classic) to palatial (Presidential). The accommodation atrium is filled with light to accentuate the tall and crisp architectural look and feel.

In the saloon, a starboard-side lounge refinement sees a centre seat base slide out to become an ottoman and includes a small fold-out timber table. Seating is enhanced as the aft end of the lounge extends to be flush to the inboard end of the galley.

New-style Recaro helm seats with Alcantara inserts and feature stitching are a glamorous feature of the helm station. Again, this a true sport yacht for a driver who relishes thoroughbred performance.

Twin 10.8-litre IPS 950s (725hp) reside in the 6000’s engine room and simply purr when the vessel is underway. Silky smooth performance is experienced when cruising or striding confidently to top speed.

Elsewhere, the list of Platinum refinements includes a cockpit joystick mounted to starboard coaming in addition to the standard portside arrangement. There are dual fuel filters and water separator for engines, along with an oil change system to engines and generator.

“We were humbled by the instant and positive reaction to the Platinum Edition at Sanctuary Cove and we are extremely excited to be presenting them to Sydney boating enthusiasts,” Rodney Longhurst concludes. “Our yachts are designed and built to deliver the safest, most comfortable and luxurious boating experience possible, both at anchor and at sea.

“I’m sure visitors will appreciate that our new models are not just better … they’re the best in show.”

Step aboard the new-generation Riviera motor yachts at the spectacular Riviera showcase at Darling Harbour, August 1-5.

Riva 50 Meters Is the Largest Riva Ever Made

The first flagship of the Riva Superyachts Division, Riva 50 Meters, debuted during an exclusive event at the historic Arsenale of Venice. The largest Riva ever made elevates the brand’s signature stylistic excellence to even greater heights.

Riva 50 Meters Is the Largest Riva Ever Made

Called “Race”, the new yacht is 50 meters long for a maximum beam of 9 meters. During her world premier at the Venice Arsenal on June 15th, she amazed the public with her unparalleled standards of aesthetics, style and innovation. Shipowners from all over the world were invited to a refined dinner by Massimo Bottura, which was followed by a gala reception culminating in Riva’s 50 meters unveiling.

Riva 50 meters is the result of the collaboration between Officina Italiana Design, the studio founded by Mauro Micheli and Sergio Beretta, who exclusively designs the entire Riva range, and the engineering team dedicated to designing the new Riva super yachts with the Ferretti Group Product Strategic Committee. She is characterized by the wider volumes of the hull and a clean and elegant profile. The latest Riva yacht is fitted with the most advanced technological solutions to ensure an unparalleled navigation experience.

After the exclusive event in Venice, the new Riva 50 meters will head to the next Monaco Yacht Show.

First Custom Line Navetta 33 arrival to Phuket

Custom Line Navetta 33 – Launch

It gives me great pride to deliver the new model Custom Line 33M to the excited new owners recently in Ancona. The delivery was typically busy however, with the great support from the shipyard and the highly professional crew, it was smooth sailing in preparation for her maiden voyage to Montenegro.

The first owners trip will follow in the Mediterranean sea before her eventual delivery to her new home in Phuket. I would like to thank the owner and all involved for making the process so enjoyable. What a boat!!

For anyone that would like to know more about this long-range pocket explorer, please feel free to contact me as after almost two years of construction I’ve managed to get to know the yacht quite well.
