The 565 SUV's powerful Volvo Penta IPS 900s offer a cruise speed of 23 to 25 knots

American debut for Riviera 565 SUV and Belize 54

The latest new models from Australia’s Riviera and Belize will make their American debut at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show which opens on October 31.

The 54th annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show is the largest in-water boat show in the world encompassing three million square feet of space on land and in water over six sites and attracting visitors from around the world.

The 2013 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show will mark the official US release of Riviera’s striking new 565 SUV, the second model in the new SUV range.

The sleek, stylish and very spacious 565 SUV features a flexible accommodation plan with sleeping capacity for six to seven adults in three cabins.  The stately full-beam master suite features a king size island bed, large hull windows and optional opening port holes for cross ventilation, a walk-in robe, lounge and 32 inch television and DVD player as standard in this model.

Riviera’s International Sales Director, Chris McCafferty said there had been strong interest in the new SUV collection with 18 new 445 SUV’s sold since her official world release last August.

“I anticipate the new 565 SUV will appeal to the astute American boater because it combines the high performance, blue water cruising and fish raising abilities of the classic Flybridge with the popular single-level entertaining characters of Riviera’s Sport Yacht series,” he said.

This latest luxury cruiser from Australia’s favourite and most awarded luxury boat builder is a culmination of more than 33 years of boat building design, experience and extensive owner feedback from around the world.

Bearing Riviera’s classic hallmark design, the new 565 SUV has been crafted with Riviera’s rich-heritage in mind.

Mr McCafferty said the new Belize Motoryacht line had also attracted a lot of interest from boating enthusiasts in many different markets around the world.

“The Belize 54 that recently arrived in the US is hull number eight which demonstrates the immediate acceptance of Belize and is a huge vote of confidence for the Belize Motoryacht brand,” Mr McCafferty said.

“We are absolutely thrilled to have the first Belize here in the US and our dealers look forward to presenting this stunning vessel at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.”

The Belize 54 is fully air-conditioned and features three cabins, including a full beam master stateroom with ensuite and opening port lights on either side to provide cross ventilation.

Belize Motoryachts are available in two models, the Belize 54 Sedan, which will be on display at the show, and the Belize 54 Daybridge.

Both the Daybridge and Sedan feature wide walk-around side decks, large cockpit with rear lounge, a hi-lo table and breakfast bar with swivel stools to port.  The generous size swim platform features a centre section that rises and lowers hydraulically to allow easy access to the transom’s electric tender ‘garage’, which has plenty of space for a three-metre tender and outboard that can be easily loaded by the built-in electric winch.

The Daybridge is truly an outdoors experience, which is why a lot of attention has been devoted to making the most of that experience.  An elegantly curving deep-tread staircase leads from the cockpit up to the Daybridge where the open air feeling makes for an exhilarating boating experience.

Not only are the design features impressive but so too are the twin Cummins Zeus 600hp diesel engines and pod drives delivering a speed of 30 knots and a range at cruise speed of approximately 448nm with the installation of the optional long range fuel tank.

Riviera’s impressive line-up at Fort Lauderdale this year includes the new 445 SUV, 565 SUV, 5000 Sport Yacht, 5800 Sport Yacht, 53 Enclosed Flybridge, and the new Belize 54 Sedan.

Mr McCafferty said Riviera’s latest models had been very well received in the US and prospective owners were eagerly awaiting their American release.

The Riviera and Belize display will be located at C Dock, slips 327 to 333 from October 31 to November 3.

Riviera offers 15 different models from 36 to 75 feet across three model series Flybridge, Sport Yacht and the new SUV collection.

In 2012 Riviera celebrated the launch of its 5000th boat, the 445 SUV, a significant achievement in the company’s rich 33-year history.

Riviera also offers the bespoke Belize Motoryachts.  Inspired by classic luxury details and timeless style, Belize Motoryachts has recently released the new 54 foot Sedan and Daybridge models.

Cantiere delle Marche announces another sale

Cantiere delle Marche announces another sale

Italian Shipyard Cantiere delle Marche signs a new contract for the construction of a new Explorer Yacht Darwin Class 86’.

Ancona, Italy, 17th June 2013. After two months from the delivery of Darwin Class 96’, M/Y Stella di Mare, that will debut in Cannes at the next Festival de la Plaisance, Cantiere delle Marche confirms the success of its sales and products strategies with a new contract signed for the construction of an Explorer Yacht Darwin Class 86’. With an average of one yacht sold every three months from the beginning of the shipyard’s sales activities, Cantiere delle Marche is once again awarded by the international market. Many clients from different areas of the world have already taken the opportunity to build their new yachts at the CdM facility in Ancona, where big volumes, over-engeneering and handcrafted quality yachts are recognized by clients and surveyors worldwide.

The new 86’ Explorer Yacht’s standards totally match the Darwin Class’ technical features, designed and engineered by Hydro Tec/Sergio Cutolo: the extra-thick steel plates, the treatment systems for bilge, black and grey water used also on commercial ships for H24/365 work, the remote controlled valves, the automatic parallel device for gensets’ management, two independent rudders are only a few of the standard fetures which make the Darwin Class standing out since its presentation to the market. In this particolar case, already during the contract’s negotiation, the client had the opportunity to customize both the tecnical specifications and his new yacht’s interior design. Architect Pierluigi Floris created stylish and refined spaces that can host all the pieces of the client’s family collection of contemporary art. The colours of the chosen materials go from beige to grey, intensifying till the gunmetal grey of the hull. The free standing contemporary furniture will harmoniously contrast the general sober lines of the interiors mood. All the lower deck, following the owner’s request, will be very bright, thanks to the portholes which will be doubled, compared to the ones of the standard Darwin Class 86’ line.

The sky lounge on the upper deck will be a wide space dedicated to the entertainment, with hi-fi, rollaway tv and other domotic devices, that can be enjoyed by an unusual number of guests for a boat of this size. More, the Transformer swim platform, the dehumidifier interiors system, sophisticated perimetral anti intrusion system, and an openable hard top are just some examples of the requested customizations that the shipyard successfully implemented in its standard specs. Vasco Buonpensiere, CdM shareholder and sales director, comments: “There’s no doubt that our Darwin Class line has soon become the main reference for everyone who is interested in the Explorer Yachts market. As a matter of fact, after less than three years of activity, the continuous visits at Cantiere delle Marche from many prospect clients and brokers, the on-going negotiations and the number of yachts sold and in construction up to now, are definetly positive signs, especially in this economic moment, that make us incredibly proud”.

Ennio Cecchini, CdM shareholder and CEO, adds: ”I personally experienced this long and exciting process that has brought us this success: I think the winning formula has been the full involvement of the client since the beginning, and I would like to thank him from all of us. It will be a very special Darwin Class, indeed and we are all looking forward to seeing it cruising the Oceans!’.

“Riviera now has a very busy production schedule with our order books filled into the New Year, in fact, our forward order sales are double the volume they were this time last year, and we are actively looking to grow our production staff numbers to meet this rising demand.”

CRN NAVETTA 43 “LADY GENYR”, A 43 METRE MEGAYACHT HAS BEEN DELIVERED TO THE OWNER

CRN Navetta "Lady Gyner" delivered

Following the launch in April, the interiors of the eighth pleasure vessel of the successful Navetta 43 composite line have been completed

Ancona, August 1st 2013CRN Navetta 43 #08 “Lady Genyr”, a 43 metres megayacht privately launched on the 29th of April, has been delivered to its Owner.

CRN is the Ferretti Group’s Shipyard specialising in the construction and marketing of fully-custom and semi-custom megayachts made of steel, aluminium and composite material, ranging from 40 to 90 metres.

Lady Genyr is the eighth megayacht of the successful Navetta 43 line, a valuable result considering  the size of this type of vessel. The first was CRN Navetta 43 #01 Emerald Star (delivered in 2007), followed by #02 Hana and #03 Rubeccan (2008), #4 Sofico (2009), #5 Eviva and #06 Kate (2010) and #07 Lady Trudy (2011), all megayachts with entirely customized interiors.

The Navetta 43 line represents a milestone in the 50th anniversary of the Shipyard, because it was the second composite line, after the 128 line (six 40 metres yachts built between 2004 and 2011): before that, CRN production was only focused on steel and aluminium yachts.

After its launch, Lady Genyr remained in the Shipyard to allow the completion of its interiors, that were finished according to timetables. The pleasure ship will be deployed in the Mediterranean, where the Owner will cruise during the summer season.

M/Y CRN NAVETTA 43 “LADY GENYR” 43 METRES

The megayacht Lady Genyr is a displacement Navetta made of composite material, entirely Made in Italy and the suppliers involved were mainly local, as in all other CRN products.

The external shape and the internal layout of the megayacht were designed by the architects of Studio Zuccon International Project, while CRN Naval Engineering has taken care of the naval project and the architects of the CRN Interior design and decor found solutions for the interiors and the furnishing.

The pleasure ship, 43 metres long and 8.6 wide, can comfortably host 10 guests in five cabins (an Owner’s suite + four VIP cabins) and 9 crew members and it can sail in absolute comfort at a top speed of 15.5 knots and a cruising speed of 13 knots, with its 2 Caterpillar C32-C engines. It has a range of about 3,800 miles at 11 knots, therefore, perfectly capable of sailing across the ocean.

With its four decks and bulbous hull, Lady Genyr, when compared to the other megayachts of the Navetta 43 line, has a newlayout of the sun deck, characterized by even wider spaces. Among its special features is the internal lift linking the decks, expressly requested by the Owner.

First Belize 54 Sedan arrives in the United States

First Belize 54 Sedan arrives in the United States

The first Belize 54 Sedan has now arrived in Florida in the United States where she will make her American debut.

Riviera’s International Sales Director, Chris McCafferty said the new Belize Motoryacht line had attracted a lot of interest from boating enthusiasts in the Americas.

“We are absolutely thrilled to have the first Belize here in the US and our dealers look forward to presenting this stunning vessel ahead of her Fort Lauderdale debut,” Mr McCafferty said.

“The Belize 54 that has just arrived in the US is hull number eight which demonstrates the immediate acceptance of Belize and is a huge vote of confidence for the Belize Motoryacht brand.

“The Riviera Australia owned bespoke Belize Motoryacht line is inspired by classic timeless style, incorporating tradition with Australian practicality and features the latest technology and performance with twin Cummins Zeus 600hp diesel engines and pod drives delivering a speed of 30 knots and a cruising range of approximately 400nm.

“With less than four months until the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, our US dealer network is busy preparing for America’s most esteemed boat show and we look forward to showcasing the new Belize 54 Sedan for the first time in the US.”

Australian couple Richard and Annette Barnes took delivery of the first Belize 54 Sedan in April 2012.

As seasoned seafarers with 10 long distance voyages under their belts, the Runaway Bay couple ordered their new Belize 54 Sedan off the plan and worked closely with designers to ensure their dream boat met all of their cruising requirements.

Mr Barnes said the boat building process was an exciting journey.

“We had exacting criteria drawn from our cruising experiences, and the Belize was built to accommodate our boating idiosyncrasies, such is the bespoke nature of the build,” he said.

“A key item for us is the ability to manoeuvre in close quarters and the Cummins Zeus Drive system with the joystick control works well.  No more jumping onto marinas, just step off the boat as it approaches a pontoon.”

The couple selected a stainless steel bench for the galley and a host of electronics and navigation aids including, two 15” G Series Raymarine screens plus AIS, radar, a second depth sounder, a weather station showing wind speed and direction, thermal night vision camera, engine room and anchor cameras.

“Boating is a hobby for Annette and I and it acts as therapy – it keeps us agile and ensures we are constantly using our faculties.  Boating also provides us a plethora of experiences,” Mr Barnes said.

“With all three children married and three grandchildren and counting, we decided it was time for a larger vessel.  A top priority for us was to have a vessel with speed and performance to enable us to run for shelter as the need arose, and we decided that 54 feet with a tender garage would be perfect.”

Mr and Mrs Barnes tested out their new Belize 54 on her maiden voyage from the Gold Coast to Bait Reef in tropical North Queensland, a round trip of some 1400 nautical miles.

Mr Barnes said the Belize was a class act.

“She is a very comfortable sea boat, dry, smooth and whilst our previous boats were fine, we find the Belize superb,” he said.

“The east coast of Australia can get rough with the Pacific Ocean rolling in, particularly along the NSW Coast. We have found the Belize handles the seas with varying wind and swell directions comfortably.”

The Belize 54 Sedan feels very large in scale with its full beam master stateroom and wide side decks which make moving around the exterior of the yacht very easy and comfortable. Everything is well proportioned and feels substantial. Then there is the saloon and connection to the large cockpit and all the little design details and different fittings that are a credit to the attention to detail, level of quality and craftsmanship.

Such is the quality of a Belize Motoryacht and the confidence in the brand, a five year structural warranty is offered by Belize.

The bespoke Motor Yacht line, Belize Motoryachts is inspired by classic luxury details and timeless style, Belize Motoryachts has just released the new 54 foot Sedan and Day Bridge models.

Ferretti 960 Launch

Ferretti Yachts new flagship is unveiled. Ferretti 960

Cattolica, 12th April 2013 Over the last few days Ferretti Group’s Cattolica shipyard and the northern Adriatic coast town’s dock hosted the launch of the first hull of  the Ferretti 960.

The launching ceremony was a highly exciting moment for all residents and, particularly, for the numerous Ferretti Group employees that worked on the design and construction of Ferretti Yachts’s new flagship for months. This new model marks yet another step forward for the Group’s historical brand, which adds a highly prestigious new yacht to its already wide range: this is indeed the largest planing yacht ever built by the Italian brand in its more-than-40-year history.

Over the next few weeks all technical activities – RINA (the Italian Register of Shipping) tests, sea trials, system and equipment tests – will be performed and onboard fitting-out operations will be completed.

Ferretti 960, which will be presented as a world premiere at next Festival de la Plaisance in Cannes, is yet another outstanding result of the cooperation between Studio Zuccon International Project and AYTD – Advanced Yacht Technology & Design, Ferretti Group’s research and naval design centre.

“The launch of this model makes us extremely proud, first and foremost because it marks the debut of a new flagship in the brand’s range” – stated Karin Paggi, Ferretti Yachts and Ferretti Custom Line EMEA Sales Manager. “This yacht has been conceived to meet the needs and wishes of our clients all over the world, who love Ferretti Yachts’s classic-contemporary style, but are also equally attracted by increasingly sporty and slender lines that go hand in hand with an unprecedented comfort, normally found on much larger crafts. On the Ferretti 960 we have indeed achieved truly absolute comfort while confirming the brand’s traditional outstanding performances and reliability.”

Ferretti 960 – which has an overall length of 29.20 metres and a maximum width of 6.7 metres – is characterised by an optimised interior and exterior layout. It is Ferretti Yachts’s first planing recreational craft featuring the master cabin forward on the main deck, and as many as four guest cabins, all equally sized and with equivalent furnishings and fittings, located on the lower deck and brightened by large open view windows in the hull. The layout also includes three crew cabins with reserved access from the galley, a solution normally found on maxi-yachts only. The external profile sets a new trend in the design of large planing hulls: the glazing running along the entire main deck “cuts” the hull from stern to the extreme bow, contributing to a much lighter profile that ensures incredible interior brightness and endows the yacht with a very sporty look.

As regards performances, the new flagship comes in three different sets of MTU engines. The standard version has two 16V 2000 M84 2218 mhp engines allowing it to reach a maximum speed of 27.5 knots and a cruising speed of 24 knots. Two optional solutions include two 16V M93 2435 mhp engines or two 16V M94 2638 mhp engines, respectively. In the former version, the maximum speed will be 29 knots, the cruising speed – 25; in the latter, more powerful version, which is the one found on the first yacht just launched, the Ferretti 960 can reach a peak of 31 knots and a cruising speed of 27 knots (preliminary data). Such an outstanding propulsion, as usual, goes hand in hand with the maximum comfort ensured by the Mitsubishi Anti Rolling Gyro system, capable of reducing rolling by over 50%.
