Omega Yacht Design
Omega Architects was founded by Frank Laupman in 1995. Ever since then he has worked on architecture, yachts and interiors. He was able to ‘cross the borders’ of his own background and finish designs in areas of different nature. He established good contacts with various principals, project developers and shipyards. To be able to meet the requirements for bigger projects, he kept searching for designers with different backgrounds and education in order to finalize them.
Degree in Engineering, long experience in the megayacht project management and a strong passion for art, design, research of innovative materials & décor accessories. Everything started from her glamour shoes collection and her dramatic attention to the details.
The legendary designer Henri de Voogt set up his own company in 1913, and won races himself in his early – self-built – boats. Once the focus shifted exclusively to naval architecture, De Voogt began cooperating with the De Vries and Van Lent yards. The partnership flourished after the creation of Feadship, and today this technical office for naval architecture and engineering is the creative center of the organization. As well as designing yachts in the classic Feadship tradition, De Voogt is increasingly asked to develop revolutionary new concepts. Thanks to generations of resourceful interaction between De Voogt and the Feadship yards, the final results are always spectacular.
