Welcome to this fourth newsletter of 2010.
The yachting world is forever evolving to meet the demands of today’s busy clients. The Ferretti Group of Italy is one such innovator.
Ferretti inaugurated its easea>show, a permanent display of group yachts at its Cattolica, Italy marine base. Our Josh Lee and Marcus Overman attended the show which ran from 30 April to 2 May. They report in this newsletter.
At the other end of the world from Italy, in Australia, we are pleased to see that Riviera, one of our long time partners, has been withdrawn from the sales process and is making a great fist of restructuring itself to build a new business platform for the future.
The Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show in Australia from 20-23 May, 2010 will feature four new Riviera models, including the Riviera 43 Flybridge with IPS which we have already featured in this newsletter.
Riviera CEO John Anderson gives special comments in this bulletin on the importance of long term partners like Lee Marine to brands like Riviera in the Asian market.
Jim Poulsen, our man at Yacht Haven, is this month’s featured sales executive. Jim has some interesting and slightly different perspectives on the industry from his “haven” in the far north of Phuket.
And just a short note about our communications revamp. Work is continuing on re-designing our website. We are also working on a number of other up-to-the-minute communication initiatives to wide the way we “speak” to our customers. Watch this space.
