NEW FERRETTI 740:

A Master of Elegance

Following the success of the previous model Ferretti 731, the new Ferretti 740 will be seen for the first time at the Genoa boat show from 3rd to 11th October 2009 .

The Ferretti 740 is a yacht with a strong personality, created for an owner who wants to have spacious interiors with a design and decor where warm tones and precious materials predominate, wide sun-zones and innovative solutions like the new design of the hull-windows to have spaces bathed in natural light.

This yacht leans towards a classic style but with elegant and contemporary touches coming from research made by the shipyard in order to showcase “made in Italy” excellence. The result is a master of elegance that cruises the sea.

EXTERIOR

The external profile of Ferretti 740 is sleek and streamlined thanks to the flowing lines of the windows that dominate the main deck, and feature a succession of sinuous curves and straight lines. In addition to the open view windows of the Owner’s cabin, two new windows have been inserted in the hull forward which enhance the on-board experience by making excellent use of natural light.

On the stern spoiler there is a comfortable sofa-bench with electro-hydraulic adjustment. The cockpit, with teak floor, is furnished with a sofa and a large table and chairs. To Port, the stairs give access to the flying bridge where the pilot station has been placed further back and in a central position to give a broader view for navigation and piloting the yacht. The pilot seat has a 360° turning circle, allowing the Owner to turn round and share relaxing moments with their guests in the U-shaped dinette behind. A large table and grill area complete the external living zone. Ferretti 740 is also available in hard top version with electric opening of the bimini top.

MAIN DECK

The wide salon of Ferretti 740 is bathed in natural light and offers a cosy atmosphere created by the tones of the materials selected for the furniture and the bleached walnut timber, used for the first time onboard a Ferretti yacht. The interior has two separate areas – living and dining area – whilst keeping a harmonious continuity of space.

To Port, a wide sofa in a “L” shape and a comfortable armchair are positioned around a low table. To Starboard, there is a pop-up TV and an additional sofa for three followed by the stairs to the flying bridge. The dining area – separated from the living area by careful furniture placement, features a tempered glass table and chairs for eight guests.

The dining zone opens to an access area that connects galley, pilothouse, the exterior and the lower deck, making the access for the crew. The galley is located in a strategic position, between the dining area and the pilot house, in order to let the crew go about their tasks without disturbing the guest’s privacy. The pilot house is located forward with dinette/charting zone and extendable table.

On the lower deck, the Ferretti 740 cabins are distinguished by details: bulkheads and walls are covered in light-coloured fabric framing the windows; an elegant solution. All cabins have a private en-suite bathroom.

The full-beam Owner’s suite is located in the centre of the boat, with walk-in wardrobe and bathroom with a wide semicircular shower offering a wonderful view of the sea through the open view window. The VIP cabin is forward, illuminated by the new windows and the two guest cabins, also featuring new windows, are found to Port and Starboard.

INTERIOR DECOR

Timeless elegance of Ferretti 740 comes from the perfect balance between a functional design allowing the highest level of liveability and the use of the finest materials to create warmth and light.

The bleached walnut with very light grain makes the atmosphere warm, comfortable and elegant. The interior is highlighted by colour contrasts of decorative details, like ceilings, panels made in natural textiles and leather for the bead-heads and the special mixture of natural fibres created for some doors.

MOTORIZATION AND PERFORMANCE

The Ferretti 740 comes with twin MAN 1360HP or twin MAN 1550HP engine packages. Both offer speeds in excess of 30kts.
