Second Baglietto T-Line 48 yacht in build on spec

The second hull in the Baglietto T-Line 48 range is being built on speculation, the Italian yard has revealed.

Due to measure 47.6 metres LOA when complete, this displacement motor yacht is one of two sister ships that are currently at different stages of construction. Hull 10228 is due to launch in 2018 as the follow-up to hull 10227, which has been sold to an American owner and will launch next year.

Both yachts are being built to Lloyd’s Registry standards with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, naval architecture by the in-house Baglietto team, a 9.5 metre beam, and a total interior volume of less than 500 GT.

Styled inside and out by Francesco Paszkowski Design, the T-Line 48 series will stand out from the rest of the Baglietto range with reverse-angle glazing in the wheelhouse, which should provide much better views from the helm station.

What’s more, Baglietto will fit a side-loading superyacht tender garage, leaving the transom free for a proper beach club area. Meanwhile, the superyacht sundeck will boast a spa pool, sunloungers and an al fresco dining table.

In total, the Baglietto T-Line 48 will feature 350 square metres of luxury living spaces, including accommodation for 12 guests in six cabins (a master, two doubles and two twin rooms with pullman berths).

Power will come from a pair of Caterpillar 3512C diesel engines for a top speed of 16 knots. When cruising at 12 knots, the second Baglietto T-Line 48 will boast a maximum range of 4,500 nautical miles, thanks to a total fuel capacity of 80,000 litres.

Other projects in the T-Line range include the 55 metre hull 10225, which is also due to hit the water in 2018.
