TOP YACHTING EVENTS IN SOUTHEAST ASIA

Unknown-54

Southeast Asia’s yachting and sailing event calendar is reaching saturation point with the number of regattas and superyacht shows increasing exponentially year on year.

According to leading industry influencer, Phuket-based Lee Marine, finding the right strategic balance between established shows in Europe, Asia and North America, combined with new emerging events in Southeast Asia, is key.

Founder and Managing Director of Lee Marine, Joshua Lee, noted that China, Spain, Greece, Korea and Australia fill the yacht show agenda from the beginning of the year through to August. Most importantly, Lee Marine makes sure to always attend the prestigious Cannes Yachting Festival on the French Riviera and has done so since its inception.

“On average, we attend two yachting events per month that will take place globally during 2017. Lee Marine attends to meet top maritime industry builders and brokers, seeing first-hand what design and technology trend are emerging as it pertains to hot yachts,” Mr Lee, said.

He noted that yachting events during the important last quarter of 2017 spans from Florida (Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show) to Phuket, where Thailand will see a return of the successful Kata Rocks Superyacht Rendezvous (KRSR) and Thailand Yacht Show (TYS).

“We look forward to working with yacht builders and experiencing their latest models. That gives us the expertise to meet potential buyers and keen yachting enthusiasts to discuss their requirements and dreams at events around Southeast Asia or other global venues,” he added.

Listed below is an overview of the top yachting events in Southeast Asia, covering both established ones and newly launched shows, rendezvous and regattas:
