The new Riviera 4600 Sport Yacht was unveiled to the public for the first time at the recent Sanctuary Cove Boatshow, and it was very evident that this was the boat that many people came specifically to see, and buy. With orders already taken well into 2025, the response to this new model was amazing and there was a queue (literally) of guests eager to get on board.
Designing a new model from the ground up gives designers a chance to reflect on the wants and needs of the future customer. Having launched the first Sport Yacht back in 2005, and with the range finding favor with many owners worldwide, Riviera collaborated with local Gold Coast design firm 4D Designs, to bring something fresh and exciting to the market. It is often remarked by manufacturers that designing a smaller yacht is much more difficult than her larger cousins, with every inch of space to be maximized, whilst maintaining both comfort, and performance.
The 4600 Sport Yacht has achieved this magnificently. For a yacht with a modest LOA of 15.31m (50ft 3in) and a generous beam of 4.7m (15ft 5in) the proportions are well balanced and she looks graceful and comfortable. Being the Platinum Edition specification, then you can expect an enhanced level of detail and finishing and materials from stem to stern. Available as a two or three stateroom layout, there is plenty of space onboard with a spacious cockpit, glorious galley and saloon and a full beam master cabin with chaise lounge. Sculpted side decks and a recessed sunpad with headrests on the foredeck add to the relaxing spaces to be enjoyed. The hydraulic transom platform with handle your tender or jetski whilst all cruising gear and toys can be kept safe in the cavernous toy garage, including space for an SUP.
Couple the 4600 Sport Yacht with upgraded Volvo IPS engines, Joystick control and a Gyro Stabiliser, and you have a very complete vessel that will stand shoulder to shoulder with many larger yachts.
